Geology Field Camp is the capstone experience in most undergraduate geology programs. It provides students the opportunity to apply their accumulated knowledge and skills to the investigation and interpretation of unfamiliar geologic areas.
The Department of Geography, Geology, and the Environment at Illinois State University offers a 6 credit-hour course in traditional Field Geology. We have been teaching this award winning, highly successful course for over five decades. We require this course for all our B.S. degree candidates.
