Erosion, Discharge, and Sediment Transport in Mountain Streams

Research Info

Student: Amer Richie

Snowmelt or glacial melt discharge in mountain streams are important contributors to waterand sediments in downstreamfluvial systems. Annual precipitation and temperatures control the volume of water flowing from mountain streams and the timing of maximum discharge. These conditions, in turn, influence the efficiency of sediment transport from upstream reaches of alpine catchments.
